Bike and Walk to School Week

Bike & Walk to School Week encourages students and their families to walk, scooter, skateboard or ride their bikes to and from school. We want to build a passion for active transportation at an early age by encouraging students to try it in a fun and supportive environment!

Bike and Walk to School Week takes place between May 27th to June 2nd, 2019.

For more information, contact Andrea Mackintosh, smartTRIPS Event Coordinator.

All schools (even those not registered in this event) are encouraged to promote cycling, walking or other car-free methods of getting to school. Let us know if your school has been tracking students' trips, so we can add in your results and make your school eligible to win great prizes!

We have two school categories: small (under 400 students) and large (over 400 students).  The schools with the highest participation in each category will win a free bike and other great prizes! There is also a prize draw for a few kid's bikes, and any registered school is eligible regardless of their participation rate.

We also have some great event ideas to motivate student participation.
