Team leader resources

Team Leaders provide inspiration and motivation for co-workers.

Team leader role

You are vital to the success of Bike to Work Week!

To get your team started, first you need to decide who your team will be. You can register your entire office, or just your department and challenge another department! Let everyone in your area know about Bike to Work, as teams are made up of everyone in the organization, not just those that already cycle. As the Team Leader you are there to help motivate and support your co-workers that already cycle, and to encourage first time or new cyclists to give it a try.  See our Top 10 Reasons to Bike to Work

Registering you and your team

If you are a new team eader, you will need to create an account at biketowork.caopen_in_new. If you are a returning team leader, you can log into your account at biketowork.caopen_in_new to be automatically registered this year. Don't forget to check over your workplace information to make sure it's still accurate. Also, update your team members in your profile. Not leading again this year? Update your profile to assign a new team leader.

Not part of a workplace team?

You can sign up as an individual by selecting "I am a rider" then "solo rider" when selecting your account type at biketowork.caopen_in_new . Individuals are not eligible to recieve a team leader kit, but they are eligible for prizes and can attend the celebration stations for free snacks, coffee and station prize draws. The individual who rides the most kilometres to work during the week will win a smartTRIPS gift pack.
